1. Solar panels are blocked

If the solar panel is blocked by tall buildings or trees next to it, which affects its absorption of sunlight, it will also cause insufficient light. In this case, remove the blocker in time. If the blocker cannot be removed, the best way is to confirm that there is no blockage around the street light when installing the solar power street light. If the solar panel is blocked by leaves, snow or dust, we need to clean the surface of the panel regularly. Normally, rainwater will automatically wash the surface of the panels. According to a solar panel shading experiment, it can be concluded that a few leaves, a bird droppings, and the shadow caused by a wire above the power station may reduce the power generation of a string of solar panels in the power station by half, or even not generate electricity at all. The shadows caused by dust, fallen leaves, bird droppings, etc. on the surface of the photovoltaic module will cause the current and voltage in the solar panel to be unbalanced. Local current and voltage increase, resulting in local temperature rise. This phenomenon is called the "hot spot effect". When the hot spot effect reaches a certain level, it will inevitably cause damage to the grid and solder joints of the battery plate. Once the point is destroyed, the destruction effect is gradually amplified until the panel is scrapped.

2. In case of continuous rainy days or the smart lighting mode is set

The decrease in brightness of solar road lights may also be caused by insufficient solar energy absorbed by solar panels. Generally, solar road light manufacturers can guarantee lighting for 3-5 days in cloudy and rainy days. When the weather is clear, the solar light will return to normal brightness. However, if the number of rainy days is too long, and the design of solar road lights is unreasonable. Then after 3-5 days, the power stored in the battery is not enough, and the brightness of the street lamp will decrease or even not bright. Therefore, when designing solar street lamps at the beginning, it is necessary to provide the solar street lamp manufacturers with the longest continuous rainy days to ensure the normal lighting of the street lamps. If the configuration design of the street lights is unreasonable, it will affect the lighting effect in the later stage. If the brightness of the street lights is not high, it is also possible that the lights are kept on at a low power of 30% in the second half of the night. Because there are very few vehicles and pedestrians on the road in the middle of the night, many manufacturers will set the street lights to turn on at low power in the middle of the night. The solar road light is equipped with microwave induction or infrared induction. When a pedestrian or a vehicle passes by, the street light will sense it and turn it into a 100% power light. If the street light becomes very dark at night, you can confirm the lighting mode of the street light, it is not necessarily a malfunction.

3. The panel power is too small and the battery is aging

In order to save costs, some solar road light manufacturers will use panels with small power when configuring solar led street lights. After a period of use and the aging of the battery, the battery will be insufficient. When in use, the solar road light consumes too much power and the battery cannot supply power, and the lighting brightness will be insufficient or even unable to illuminate. If the quality of the purchased solar road lights is not good, this is easy to happen. It is recommended that you choose regular manufacturers when purchasing, and do not buy cheap products of inferior quality, which leads to short service life of lamps and frequent failures.
