LED tunnel lamp has become a new lighting fixture developed in recent years because of its long life, low energy consumption, high light efficiency, controllable light Angle and other outstanding advantages. It is commonly used in road tunnel lighting. Due to the particularity of tunnel lighting, the arrangement of LED tunnel lights is different from conventional lighting lamps. Many drivers may have the following questions:
1. Why are the LED tunnel lights at the entrance and exit of the tunnel more intensive?
If streetlights are installed on expressways, the illumination effect of one light and one dark light will affect drivers' driving and form visual fatigue. In addition, the lighting of the whole road will make drivers subconsciously lose their vigilance, which is not conducive to long-term concentration driving.
This is due to the special structure of the tunnel and the physiological structure of the human eye. Because the tunnel is a semi-closed structure, the brightness difference between inside and outside the tunnel is large, when the vehicle enters or exits the tunnel, the human eyes need to adapt to the time, that is, the "adaptation lag phenomenon" occurs. When vehicles enter the cave during the day, due to the sudden drop in brightness, people's visual response lags behind to form the "black hole effect", which makes it difficult to distinguish the situation inside the cave. The "white hole effect" is formed when vehicles exit the tunnel, causing intense glare.
In order to avoid the large difference in light intensity between inside and outside the tunnel, the human eyes will have a short-term visual obstacle, which requires that the LED lights at the entrance and exit of the tunnel be more dense, so as to alleviate the difference in light intensity between the outside and inside of the tunnel during the day, and ensure the safety of drivers.
2. Why are LED tunnel lamps arranged in two rows in the tunnel?
The normal LED lamps in the tunnel are usually designed as two rows, which is also for the safety of the driver. Generally speaking, LED tunnel lights are divided into two rows, presenting two lights, respectively located on both sides, the overhead light is opposite to the ground, so that it can illuminate the space, and there will be no reflection. As shown in the figure below, the lighting effect comparison between single-row ordinary lighting lamps and double-row LED tunnel lamps is shown.
