The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Co-construction and Sharing of Telecommunications Facilities in 2018", which pointed out that it is necessary to actively promote the two-way sharing of communication towers, street lights, monitoring, and traffic instructions. The Shenzhen government also plans to basically achieve full coverage of multifunctional smart poles in Shenzhen's main arterial roads by 2020 and build a multifunctional smart pole management platform. It can be said that the government's signal is very clear, and the goal is also very clear: to create a successful and replicable smart light pole project model, and then expand to the region and city.
