With the development of new rural construction, the use of solar street lighting systems is becoming more and more widespread. Solar LED street light is a perfect outdoor lighting solution and it provides illumination by absorbing the solar energy. The outdoor environment is harsh, rain and snow may gradually corrode the light pole.

The solar street lighting system pole is the "bracket". It mainly plays a "carrying" role. It needs to load high-weight solar panels, high-torque wind power, and even some projects require heavy lithium batteries to be placed on the light pole. If there is a problem with the light pole, it may cause the light pole to twist or break or even injure property and personnel. The quality of the light pole determines the overall quality and durability of the solar street light. Therefore, anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out on the poles of solar street lighting systems. So how to ensure the overall quality and durability of solar street lighting systems? So what are the anti-corrosion methods? We will give you a detailed introduction in this article.

1. Hot-dip galvanizing

Hot-dip galvanizing is an effective metal anti-corrosion method, mainly used for metal structure equipment in various industries. After the equipment cleans up the rust, it is immersed in a zinc solution melted at about 500°C to adhere the zinc layer to the surface of the steel component, thereby playing a role in preventing metal corrosion. The anti-corrosion time of hot-dip galvanizing is long, but the anti-corrosion performance is mainly related to the environment in which the equipment is used. The anti-corrosion years of equipment in different environments are also different: heavy industrial areas are generally 13 years, and the period is 50 years if the street lamp corroded by seawater. For street lamps to be durable, generally use poles with hot-dip galvanized surfaces.

In order to ensure the quality, reliability and durability of solar street lighting system poles, the steel selected is mainly Q230 steel. The good ductility and rigidity of Q230 steel are the best in the production requirements of light poles. Although Q230 steel has good ductility and rigidity, it still needs to be treated with hot-dip galvanizing and plastic spraying to prevent corrosion. Hot-dip galvanizing ensures that the pole has good corrosion resistance and is not easy to be corroded. The pole lifespan of the solar street lighting system can reach 15 years. Hot-dip galvanizing spraying sprays the plastic powder evenly on the light pole, and evenly attaches the plastic powder to the light pole at high temperature to ensure that the color of the light pole will not fade over a long period of time.

2. High temperature plastic spraying

This is a new technology developed in recent years. The basic working principle is to spray nylon onto the surface of the workpiece prepared in advance under the heating and melting of the flame to obtain the required spray coating.

3. Surface spray treatment

The first best method is to hot-dip galvanize the pole. The zinc layer of the hot-dip galvanized pole is firmly combined with the steel pole, the zinc layer does not peel off, and the anti-rust effect is particularly good. Then the surface of the light pole is sprayed, the color can be customized, and the outdoor high-quality plastic is used, so that the rust-proof time of the light pole can be more than ten years.

4. Powder electrostatic spraying

Powder electrostatic spraying means that the powder is negatively charged, and the powder is uniformly adsorbed on the solar street lamp pole under the action of electrostatic force and compressed air. This approach can make the surface of the street light pole more uniform and flatter. Of course, electrostatic spraying also has two methods: spray paint and spray plastic.

The above methods of anti-corrosion of solar street lighting system poles are shared here. In addition to anti-corrosion, we must also pay attention to the waterproof and anti-theft performance of solar street lighting system poles to prevent rainwater from entering the poles and causing electrical failures.
